The Central Virginia Cattlemen Association (CVCA) was formed in the Fall of 1998. Currently there are approximately 240 producers in the association who own a total of over 24,000 brood cows. Our association headquarters is located in Orange, Virginia. The purpose of the group is to promote and improve livestock production, education, and marketing of beef cattle. CVCA News and Announcements   Title CVCA Handbook For a copy of the 2009 CVCA Handbook, please look under "Document Library".     2009 Membership Form To join CVCA for 2009, look under "Document Library" for a membership form.      CVCA Board Meeting The CVCA Board will meet on Monday, July 20, at 7:00 p.m. at the Orange Extension Office.     Beef Field Day and Sale The field day is being held on Friday, August 7, at Tucker Livestock located in Radiant, Virginia.  Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and concludes at 1:30 p.m.  Lunch will be provided free of charge; however, in order to help us plan, please contact the Orange Extension Office at 540-672-1361.  For a copy of the program, please look under "Upcoming Events".   Mineral Order Form The new mineral prices for July - December, 2009 are listed on this website under "Document Library".  The good news is that all the prices are lower.  The bid went to Renaissance Nutrition so the delivery schedule and locations will remain the same until the end of the year.  The next order is due by Thursday, July 9, by 4:30 p.m. and the pickup will be Thursday, July 16, to either Glenmary Farm or Duck Farm.
